Sheave Liner

Never settle for imitations! Your Otis machine's sheave liners are vital for system traction. Incorrect traction can lead to serious issues. We offer only genuine OEM Otis sheave liners, crafted from a specific polymer blend for optimal traction and longevity. These liners are rigorously tested at Otis’s quality lab to ensure safety and mitigate traction risks.

For traditional overhung machines, we continue to offer joined liners ("rubber band" liners) popular for Otis overhung sheave applications.

We also offer OEM Otis Chain Liners, previously exclusive to Otis. These split liners allow installation on inboard sheave/gearless machines with minimal disassembly. Joined with a pin using wedges and a clamping tool, these liners reduce labor hours and minimize elevator downtime.

When requesting, please provide:

  • Sales Number (machine or contract number)
  • Photos of sheave (showing ropes, grooves, casting number)
  • Complete machine photos with tags/plates/casting numbers
  • Sheave width measurement (across ropes)
  • Sheave diameter measurement (“center to center” across sheave face)
