Track & Hanger

Our track and hangers upgrade package is specifically designed for retrofitting existing tracks and hangers.  The new package has been designed with much more flexibility than traditional tracks and hangers, so the equipment will fit into existing site conditions much more easily.

Door operation is the first thing passengers experience when they ride an elevator,  and by conveying that the elevator is a reliable, safe, high-quality system, their confidence will increase.  Our tracks and hangers provide smooth and quiet door operation, improving reliability by using the highest-quality rollers, cables, door locks and other material in a flexible, straightforward product design.

 

We offer durable track and hanger sets for door modernization, entrance additions, and rust-outs, with reference drawings available for both car and hall sides in S/S, C/O, and 2-Speed opening types.

 

Our flexible hanger options accommodate both Otis and non-Otis door tops without drilling, featuring various bolt spacings suited for 3/8” or ½” bolts. While special hangers may need additional lead time, common sizes like  4-5/8”, 4-1/8”, and 4”  are usually in stock. 

 

Consider ordering new headers from Unitec, especially if installing Otis 6940 locks. Our headers, pre-punched for standard openings (36”, 42”, 48”, 54”) and unhanded, save on labor and material costs by eliminating the need for drilling and nutserts/rivnuts, particularly beneficial in cases of rust or when aiming to reduce labor.

 

 

To order or quote your Mod Track and Hanger Package contact Unitec Directly and provide the following information required on the survey  Track & Header Survey:  

 

  • Door opening type (S/S, C/O, 2spd,  2spd-C/O, 3spd, etc)
  • Door opening height
  • Door opening width
  • Existing door hanger and panel type
  • Door opening hand
  • Door panel finish
  • Door top bolt spacing - for the existing hanger and if retain doors (we can also help you with new door panels)
  • Quantity of car openings 
  • Quantity of hall openings
