Track & Hanger
Our track and hangers upgrade package is specifically designed for retrofitting existing tracks and hangers. The new package has been designed with much more flexibility than traditional tracks and hangers, so the equipment will fit into existing site conditions much more easily.
Door operation is the first thing passengers experience when they ride an elevator, and by conveying that the elevator is a reliable, safe, high-quality system, their confidence will increase. UNITEC's Tracks and Hangers provide smooth and quiet door operation, improving reliability by using the highest-quality rollers, cables, door locks and other material in a flexible, straightforward product design.
UNITEC offers robust track and hanger sets for Door Modernization jobs and Entrance additions or rust outs. Drawings are provided here for reference for both the Car & Hall sides and for opening types: S/S, C/O & 2-Speed.
installers are concerned with adapting to existing door tops and headers without drilling. Unitec provides flexible hanger options with various bolt spacing to adapt to both Otis and Non-Otis door tops. Common bolt hanger spacing designs include the most common 4-5/8” and 4”, 4-1/8”, 3-1/4”, 3-3/4”, 4-1/4”, 4-3/4”, 5”. with holes/slots suited for 3/8” or ½” bolts. Special hangers may require ample lead time for manufacturing, but 4-5/8”, 4-1/8”, and 4” bolt-spacing door hangers are commonly stocked.
Additionally, consider ordering new headers from UNITEC instead of adapting the old ones, especially if you already have or will be installing Otis 6940 locks (see our Otis Integral Header Service Upgrade Solution link below) Headers come pre-punched for standard-size openings (36”, 42”, 48”, 54”) and are unhanded. When using new UNITEC track and hanger sets, you will avoid the labor time and drill bit cost of drilling and applying nutserts/rivnuts by opting for new headers, especially in the presence of rust or to save labor.

- Quantity of car openings for the job
- Quantity of hall openings for the job.
