NG Lock
OTIS® NG (Next Generation) locks are one of OTIS® elevators’ newest generation of hoistway door interlocks. NG locks can be found on 2005-2024 Otis new equipment installations. They work in conjunction with a car mounted clutch, which combines unlocking and restrictor functions all in one assembly. One of the standout features of NG locks is their compact size, which reflects a thoughtful evolution from previous generations of Otis locks. This space-saving design makes them ideal for modern elevator systems where maximizing efficiency and minimizing bulk are key considerations.
