If you are replacing Qty 1 sheave, it is suggested to replace Qty 4 for efficiency and reliability.
SHEAVE ASSY,GEN2, 5 GROOVES
Starting in 2017, Gen2 Overslung (G2O) installations began shipping with a multi-piece sheave design p/n AAA20780AS1 (also referred to as AS1). Four AS1 sheaves are installed in each unit: two deflectors in the overhead and one each on the car top and counterweight sheaves. The AS1 sheave is a direct replacement for the previous design AAA20780W4 (also known as W4). The AS1 utilizes a more robust design that incorporates independent rotating sheaves for each groove. Figures 1 and 2 illustrate the difference between the W4 and AS1 sheaves.
