Duane joined Unitec in December, 2002. Duane was previously the Supervisor of the Mechanical Engineering Group for Otis. He brings over 16 years of Otis experience to Unitec including four years in new construction field installation and modernization, and the balance in the various Engineering roles. As an Otis engineer, Duane was responsible for providing complete Engineering and field-technical Service Support for all mechanical components of elevator and escalator systems. This often involved service upgrades and interchangeability issues as well as parts identification & documentation. He brings full knowledge of the Otis drawing system, manufacturing methods and Spare Parts Leaflets coordination. Duane holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University and obtained his Elevator Mechanic's Certification in 1989.
